The Jefferson Awards for Public Service invites corporations, universities, local governments and non-profit organizations to create a mutually beneficial partnership to recognize volunteer efforts, as well as to encourage their employees and retirees to volunteer and help build their local communities.
Many organizations make volunteerism and local community building one of the core values and stated goals for their employees and retirees. Several organizations have existing volunteer recognition and outreach programs. Some are forming new volunteer systems.
The Jefferson Awards for Public Service offers these organizations specific services, technical assistance and the opportunity to expand and reinforce these values.
